Playoff Preview
8pm Yusuf vs Aadil
Aadils team has fought like crazy to get here. First they upset Amrits team last week of the regular season to secure the easier play in matchup then came back from double digits to defeat Jibar and the Knights. They have some big shot makers in Yahya and Umer who both rain threes. And clutch time Hugo has been special, settling the team down when needed and always seeming to find that key bucket when they need it. If Ali Khalid can be a more consistent presence we could see an upset. Yusuf’s team is playing great ball right now. Ridwan had an amazing game last time out maybe the best of his retro career. This team relies on Tayeb though if it is going to make a deep playoff run. The offense runs through him whether it’s passing or shooting. He gets the guys like Haroon and Yusuf involved and leads them to easy scoring opportunities. There may be a time when he needs to put up a 25 or 30 point game and we haven’t seen that yet. Tonight shouldn’t be that night though we think their consistency will win out in the end.

9pm Hassib vs Moody
This should be a fun matchup. Hassib’s team has been great this season, they had some early season moments of inconsistency but in the last few weeks they have been humming. Samad is everywhere on the court, the ultimate energizer bunny who leads the team at PG but can also get a bucket when needed. Umair has put up less points per game in the last few weeks but had some huge clutch buckets. Ruhel meanwhile has found his stroke, averaging four threes a game in the last few weeks. Moody on the other hand finally seems to have a team that shows up and plays real basketball on both ends of the floor. Gurk seems to be getting healthy hitting some daggers in the play in game against Dev while Daryl really struggled missing some easy shots right at the basket. Josh was dominant down low with seven blocks but was a non factor on offense. They will need more consistency if they want to upset the 1 seed and we don’t see them pulling that off.

10pm Umer vs Amrit
This game may get intense, we have two scrappy teams. Umer’s team is full of hustle players like Mohamin, Umer and Omar Patel who don’t stop moving on the court and play with a high intensity. The key here will be can Umer get some offensive contributions outside of himself and Talha. If it’s only a two man show that may be hard to over some against Amrits guys chemistry and tenacity. Amrit’s squad started the season on fire with no one able to stop them. Amrit looked like a man possessed and they played tenacious defense. The second half of the season wasn’t so good and they weren’t able to repeat the success. If they did get any positives it’s that Sy and Zian have shown they can be huge offensive contributors to help Amrit on the floor. To win they need a big game out of all of them and we think they get it. Expect fireworks in this one.
