Let’s take a brief break from the eccentric, hippie-wannabe antics of Slappy White and adopt a more mild-mannered approach to this week’s matchups.
As the regular season winds down, big congratulations to Team Phantoms and Captain ZQ for clinching First Place and a Perfect Record. An incredible feat! Best of luck in the playoffs to these young chaps, who boast several candidates for major awards — MVP, Best QB, Best Receivers, and Best Defense. This week’s games will have major implications for playoff seeding and matchups. Things are tight across the board — seeds 3 through 7 are separated by just one game, while seeds 8 through 12 are tied in the loss column. Talk about parity! Every down counts this weekend.

Let’s get to it:

FIELD 1

9:00 AM – Bots vs Interceptors
Two underachieving teams face off early, playing primarily for pride. Captain Adam’s Interceptors have battled injuries, league-mandated adjustments, and inconsistent play. Meanwhile, the Bots are exactly where most expected — ranked worst in scoring and second-worst in points allowed. For the Bots to pull this off, they must contain the Interceptors’ receivers and finally start converting in the red zone — something Aqib and company have struggled with all season. The Interceptors, on paper, are the league’s most underperforming team. Prediction: Bots 20, Interceptors 13

10:00 AM – Bots vs MPS
The Bots get a rare doubleheader opportunity and a chance to end the season with some dignity. Momentum could be on their side — the Bots may be warmed up, while MPS will start cold. Expect a scrappy, defense-heavy game filled with offensive misfires. The X-factor will be QB Rick for MPS. If he can repeat last week’s solid performance, they might close the season with a win. Prediction: MPS 15, Bots 6

11:00 AM – Mamas Boys vs Hunters
Earlier this season, this would’ve been a no-contest, with the Mamas Boys cruising to victory. But things have changed. Captain Naj has the Hunters composed, motivated, and competitive in every outing. Meanwhile, the Mamas Boys showed signs of vulnerability without star QB Safwan, though they’re still dangerous on offense. Expect a high-energy matchup with both sides trading blows, but the Hunters’ trio of Naj, Hasan, and Irfan may be too much down the stretch. Prediction: Hunters 26, Mamas Boys 19

FIELD 2

10:00 AM – Pluto vs Bing Bong
This one should be a fun, fast-paced contest featuring the future stars of the CFL Zamer, Munier, Tayeb, Toheed, Shak, and many more. Expect deep routes, crossing patterns, and a lot of interceptions as both QBs, Shak and Tayeb, love to take chances downfield. CFL insiders see Pluto pulling off the upset and salvaging their season record with a big win. Prediction: Pluto 25, Bing Bong 23

11:00 AM – Ballers vs Imaan
The Ballers have been MIA for much of the season — but the Hanif brothers are reportedly back and ready to make some noise. Unfortunately for them, they’ll face the defending champs, Imaan, who themselves have struggled with inconsistency and missing players. And yes, Anas — we’re calling you out! If you want to repeat, it’s time to prioritize Imaan and CFL over the outside noise. Last week, Imaan was sloppy: dropped passes, poor throw-offs, and a lack of rhythm. Expect them to bounce back in a big way this week, though. Prediction: Imaan 36, Ballers 19

12:00 PM – Ballers vs Mean Machine
This late matchup may not have much playoff implications, but it’s all about pride and ego. Expect a fun offensive showdown between Rahat, Jay, and Rahan for Mean Machine versus the Hanif brothers, who love to air it out. This one goes down to the wire, but the Ballers will edge it out in the final minute. Prediction: Ballers 30, Mean Machine 29
