9:00 AM Botz vs Phantoms
The Botz are alive! Aqib’s team for years has a flair for the dramatic in the playoffs and they finally broke through to the final four of CFL Retro. They were spotted an early lead again the Ballers and still almost blew it but Nabil had his coming out party in the playoffs after his best regular season to date. He hauled in the game winning td with less than 20 seconds left and they lived to face the Niners. Moody vs Aqib is always fun with the close friends going back and forth. Syed would lead a long drive then the Niners would respond. In the end Moody couldn’t come through with a clutch throw to win the game so it went to OT. In the extra time Syed had a huge scramble to buy time then delivered a strike to Adil to take the lead. They stopped the Niners to punch their ticket. For the Phantoms it was business as usual, they rolled fairly easily after picking off the interceptors in the end zone when they were threatening. This team has a ton of weapons in Samad, Neiko and Fahad. The Commissioner must really like ZQ giving him that roster. This game should be an easy roll for them but we probably would’ve said that about both games the Botz played last week. If they can sustain long drives and get guys like Nabil and Tasin in space they may be able to put up some points especially if Syed is throwing like he was last week. In the end though the Phantoms are too deep and too talented. ZQ will methodically pick them apart and Samad will take one or two dump offs to the house while Neiko patrols the back line. The undefeated season continues.

10:00 AM Warriors vs Bing Bong
After a spicy talking opponent in Shak last week, Ezra showed who was the better qb on the field. After a back and forth first half Louis, Gregg and Ezra showed Pluto who was boss and why they were the second seed in the regular season. They scored with ease and Louis had some amazing plays, some would say MVP caliber. For Bing Bong they kept doing what they have been, playing clean defense and making plays on the other end. Zian always comes up huge, literally and figuratively while the brothers Zamier and Munier are consistent as they come. They took down Mamas Boys going away. Now for this matchup it won’t be so easy. They are done those two consistent brothers and will have to find a way to make up for their production. We have seen Zian before in a short handed matchup prove he can control a game just last year when ZQ missed a playoff game. Ezra has quarterbacked a ton of these big matchups while Tayeb has a lot less experience on the field than he does on the hardwood. In the end AZ and the squad will have a tough time stopping the LEG and they will have their way with the short handed Bing Bong squad. We will be stronger of our all Hussaini final but we will get a barn burner nonetheless.
