CFL Week 2 Predictions
9am Warriors vs Niners
The Niners came out like gang busters last week. They jumped on Tayeb amd the Falcons early, Moody getting the most out of his new recruit Mo and the Botz players moonlighting for the winter. Include Umair, formerly of Imaan and he has a new look roster for the winter. However they faltered in the second game against the veteran Imaan with some big missteps at the end. Warriors have brought in a legend at QB with Chic. He has forgotten more about football than most of the league knows. Add him to the famous LEG combo of Louis, Ezra and Gregg and they handled business last week easily. they are a force to be reckoned with. Considering the Niners had a hard time against a veteran team very much like this Warriors team we will say they fall short again.

10am Falcons vs Caliphs
A battle of former teammates here. A bunch of the Caliphs including the former captain last season AZ will be battling his former squad in the Falcons. Neiko is taking on a bunch of his chip squad in guys like Fahad, Qasim and ZQ. Tayeb struggled last week but the team was short handed and looked rusty. We expect them to be motivated and locked in this week and a great game seems likely. ZQ hasn’t lost a game at qb here in a while and last week he was getting cold on the sideline. The rivalry angle plus avenging a bad showing last week has me leaning the young guys way here in a battle till the end.

11am Imaan vs Mamas Boys
Imaan is back!!!!!! Anas at qb has unlocked a new dimension to this team. They seem more excited and feel like they can beat anybody. They struggled in the first half against the Niners last week but they adjusted at halftime and showed bold decision making going for a win instead of settling like last year. New season, maybe new captain, new Imaan. They will be heard from all winter. Mamas Boys were cold last week, in every sense of the word. I’m sorry Safwan you are a great guy, take that dang coat off. You signed up for winter football! They hung in there with the Warriors until they didn’t and they don’t get a break having to go against this great Imaan squad. Maybe Anas should wear a coat cause we think he might be in the sideline early here.
Imaan 35 Mamas Boys 20
12pm Imaan vs Hunters
The Hunters started slow last week but then found some life and made it a close game at the end. Naji not playing was a big deal. He is the leader of this defense and that is something that was missed. Imaan will already be warm for this game but also they are a little older as a team so will fatigue set in. We think they end the day 2-0 but this one ends up closer than it probably should be.
