It's time for an amazing day of football for Retro, lets figure out who will be playing for the championship and take a look at these matchups happening tomorrow.

Interceptors vs The Botz

Most people would be surprised to find the Interceptors here, they seemed like a juggernaut in the making early in the season. Things are not always as they appear though, quarterback controversies, roster changes and a controversial player in the game against them last week have led them to fighting for their playoff life in the play-in game. The Botz on the other hand were always going to have a rough go at it this season, their first in the league. Give them credit, they have been in most of the games they have played and battled with teams who were more experienced and objectively more talented. It would be easy to say the Interceptors should roll, they have an experienced QB in Ezra, a monster WR in Greg and solid guys all around like Todd who leads them in tds and Sal who is a solid defender. The Botz will combat them with what has been deemed the geek squad. Aqib plays slo mo ball and it seems to work, Adil has been around the CFL block since the early days and Syed has been figuring out how to play QB at a high retro level. We think this one could be back and forth but in the end Interceptors pull away.

Niners vs Imaan

We just saw this matchup in the last week of the regular season and we think Imaan has the blueprint to take down the Niners. After a slow start they played man defense and Shine could not make the throws to beat it. The Niners squad is deep with talent, Ruhel is probably the MVP of Retro being a beast on both ends. Qasim is a speedy WR, Moe is the ultimate possession guy and young man Andrew had his breakout at the end of the regular season with back to back impressive performances. Faiq took over Imaan and put together a solid squad with guys who know how to play ball. They have athletic players in Ridwan and Omar combined with great veterans like Owais and Pulak. Their season really turned around when they found their QB in Asif. He moves the ball well and gets everyone involved. The Niners have shown they can beat anybody but Imaan seems like they are getting hot at the right time and we think they win a close game that comes down to the wire.

Every Other vs Interceptors

This should be a fun game. These teams are basically exact opposites. Old guys who are tall vs young short and quick. The Interceptors will have to play two today and that may not have as big of an effect in the Elite league here it will be a factor. Shak knows how to win this league, he’s done it before. Toheed is one of the top players Retro has and the chemistry between all of them works very well. They also aren’t afraid to let you know when they are doing well, they are the brashest group Retro has. Fahad on the other side should have some nice responses for them if they get too out of hand. It will be interesting to see what pace this game has, Every Other likes to play fast and Interceptors playing on weary legs will probably want to slow this one to a crawl. There is a possibility some of Every Other will be coming off multiple games of Elite as well. We think Ezra leads an upset to run into the championship and get revenge on his old squad Imaan.
