9am - Imaan vs All Day

This should be a fun one. There isn’t a hotter team in the league right now with new qb Anas giving this team the franchise qb they have always needed. Former qb Syed seems to love his new role as the wr1 pulling down 3 tds last week. Imaan has to be reeling a bit seeing the qb they let go looking like an MVP while Asif laid a dud week 1 and they got stomped. There were attendance issues and with a full roster this should be a great game. Something tells me Owais wants a win here to prove he made the right offseason move. In the end you go with the hot hand.

10am - Niners vs Caliphs

Is week three too early to declare a game of the season? The rivalry is established with potentially the best game in retro history, the infamous lights out playoff game. The trash talking is at an all time level between Samad and Umair. This game should be fireworks. Niners are coming off a loss but they were missing several starters. Caliphs are polished as ever with ZQ leaning on getting the ball out quickly to his playmakers and letting them do their thing. He has to avoid the turnovers that killed him against the Niners last season. Moody has been hot as well throwing 10 tds through three games but the question remains is he ready for the big moments or was the chip game a fluke. Expect an amazing game that goes back and forth with Samad getting the last laugh and Umair and Moody regretting all the trash talk.

11am - Caliphs vs Pluto

If the prediction holds and the Caliphs win game one will they have anything left for Pluto? Pluto came through last week and showed a much improved defense from the last time we saw them in CFL. Toheed is a beast as always and if Pluto can keep the defensive intensity up while matching their usual offensive firepower they will be dangerous all year. The Caliphs will lean on their stars in Samad and Fahad in the second game to lock up on defense and make plays in the other end. The good teams know how to win these games and they will get it done.

9am - MPS vs Interceptors

The Squids came away with a split decision last week on the doubleheader but looked good even in defeat. Josh has really found his way at qb and the duo of Evin and Arjun can really lock up on defense. Will it be enough to stop a team that just lit up the defending champs for 50 points. That’s a tall task. Brian and Adam had a brilliant game plan last week and executed perfectly. They scored at will. Their defense was not as impressive and you won’t escape a lot of games giving up 40 points with wins. They will need to clean that up but we see them coming away with another win here by a decent margin.

10am - Warriors vs Hunters

The Warriors clearly took notes from what they did wrong last season and are working on improving on all fronts, adding Usman Hanif to a team that already made the semis last season certainly helps. But Ezra is back in control of the qb position and has shown he still has it. The Hunters looked great on offense last week as Shahin was scoring easily downfield but the defense couldn’t stop anything. The offense improved drastically from week 1 now can the defense follow suit. It is an area captain Naji prides himself on so we think it will get better as the season progresses. Too much Warriors here though to go against them.

11am - Goonville vs Mamas Boys

After beating this same Mamas Boys team Moody said “I’m happy I played them week one cause once he figured out how to play flag football we couldn’t stop them.” The qb from college tried testing the Niners early and was punished but after he settled in he torched the defense. Combine him with Safwan and that’s the most fearsome duo Retro may have ever seen. Theo problem is will they be able tos top anyone all season? Goonville are a team with a lot of talent but not enough polish. Neiko, Zamier and Munier are great athletes but they lack some football iq. In comes Hussein to provide that almost leading a 30 point comeback against the Warriors last week. But the big question goes to the qb position. Does Nick have what it takes? Should Tayeb be brought back? These are things they will need to figure out. Expect a lot of points here, it may be whoever gets the first stop wins.

12pm - Mean Machine vs Mamas Boys

Mean Machine has been unstoppable on offense. Abbas, Rahat and Rayhan are all putting up great TD numbers while Jay seems much more comfortable in his second season at the helm. Like a lot of teams the defense has been a problem and unless they adjust on that end it’s going to be hard to be contenders this season. We just ran through Mamas Boys and it’s the second half of a back to back but Omar should have his guys ready, they are all young athletes. We should have another fun one where you should take the over on points. But Mamas Boys may not lose the rest of the season.
