We are now through 3 weeks of play and things are starting to get interesting! Lets dive deeper;
1) Monstarz - Monstarz had a bye this week, but are still undefeated and no team gave us a reason to knock them off the top. Our fellow afghans (+ Samad) look to keep the top spot eading into week 4.
2) Cease Fire - After their 1 pt loss in week 1, this team has been STEAMROLLIG through the league. I dont see them stopping anytime soon either. Zo and co. look to be a force.
3) Caliphs - Big jump for this team this week. They may be 1-2, but they showed their true potential against a depleted but still good Gaza team. A few bounces their way and they'd be 3-0, but this is why we play the game. Great win this week.
4) Medina Mavericks - Very tough loss this week. they played a strong Cease Fire team without their pg and their best defender.
5) Gaza - This team was just at the 2 rank, but a bye week and a bad loss doesnt do much to move you up. Now with another bye week, we wont see them higher than this spot until they play another game. When this team brings out their full roster, it's scary for the league.
6) Warriors - This team is heading into their 2nd game coming off a bye and word is we will see their big man in action this week! Excited to see how this team gels. They may be at 6 right now, but it is no slight to their potential, we just haven't seen enough yet. Look for them to climb up.
7) Halal Hoops - Impressive win for this squad. Haroom came out and established himself right away. Another performance like that and we may see him on the mvp ladder soon. Taz dishing out 7 assists also helped them get a much needed win.
8) Team Name - These brothers NEED to get their attendance in order and start winning games to have a shot at the playoffs. Collectively they have the alrn to be at the top, but lack of chemistry and conisstency due to attendance may
make it tough for them. Let's see if they turn it around this week.
