9am Niners vs Interceptors

These teams were involved in two very different games last week. Niners blew out a mean machine team that is just coming together in dominant fashion. The interceptors meanwhile looked like they were going to get crushed before bringing in veteran Rick at quarterback who led a three score comeback in miraculous fashion to win the game. Based on how the Niners played last week and their chemistry, you would think that should be an easy win but last season the interceptors handed it to them beating them by multiple scores. Rick has always played well against the Niners even when he was with his old squad so we see a good game here. In the end we will pick the chemistry Moody has with his receivers which Rick hasn’t had time to build yet.

Hunters vs Mean Machine

Hunters have a new qb but the same result. Shu provided some stability but the Warriors still proved too much to handle with Greg Louis and Ezra. Their depth put them over the edge but we know Naji and Shu have forgotten more about football than anyone on this Mean Machine squad. Rahat has a new team and it showed last week. Multiple times they were caught off guard not even knowing who was supposed to be on the field. If they can build from the second half of last week and get Zamir going and hit Neiko on some deep throws they could be scary but expect Shu to right the ship here and come away with a W.

Caliphs vs Elites

Caliphs started the season with a surprise loss to Mamas Boys. They are the defending champs but especially while getting a hot start we expected them to get it done. The Elites on the other hand were dominating looking like they would roll right along with new qb Anas spreading the ball around, then something happened. We give lots of credit to Rick and the interceptors but Pulak cannot let something like that happen. It’s easily but an 0-2 start for either of these teams who were considered early favorites to go a long way would be very disappointing. This feels like a game where you pick the best player on the field and choose them to get it done. Samad is on the Caliphs so they pull out a close one in a slugfest.

Pluto vs Warriors

Ezra vs Shak that should be a good time. Shak didn’t start the game at qb but his team needed him and he delivered. How long is that shoulder going to be able to do that for though. The warriors are a deep team. It seemed like they had twenty guys on the sideline last weekend. But sometimes too many cooks can spoil a recipe. They tried Chick at qb and it didn’t go excellently. Ezra came in settled everything and they ended up cruising. In a battle of feisty QBs I’ll take the better surrounding cast. Warriors roll.

Pluto vs Mamas Boys

Qb Saf is backkkkkkk. The reigning champs came into the first week and put on a defensive clinic against the Caliphs picking off ZQ three times and where a lot of teams would go down after giving up an early TD they adjusted and locked up. Lots of credit to Omar for rallying his guys. To put it simple Pluto will be tired and the young Mamas Boys can run for days. This one may be ugly and the champs will go into week 3 unblemished.
