8:30 Caliphs vs Mean Machine
The Caliphs may be the league’s hottest team right now and are near the top of the power rankings. They are finding ways to win games even without Samad showing up. He may have a small stature but is a big presence on the field. Mean Machine meanwhile have gotten way better under the Asif regime. They haven’t won a game but two straight one-point results mean they are so close to turning a corner. Take away some key drops from the young guys and they could have won last week. There is not a qb hotter than ZQ right now and Fahad is not recognized enough as one of the league’s top players. So we expect this one to be a fake close kind of game where the score doesn’t show that Caliphs were never worried.

This should be a very fun game. Moody vs Shu goes back all the way to CFL chip game season one circa 2015 over a decade ago. It will however be the first time they are both playing qb against each other. Expect a back and forth game between two cerebral quarterbacks trying to dictate matchups. The Niners are missing a huge player in Umair who will be tuning in from Lahore and that figure in the middle of the field will be hard to replace. Captain Naji was an OG Retro Niners member but now will look to take Moody and Ruhel his former teammates down. This could end up as a game of the week in a showdown. Hunters with the upset that goes down to the wire.

9:30 Caliphs vs Warriors
Caliphs coming off a win may be a little taxed here but the schizophrenic Warriors will not be able to take advantage. Who’s at qb for them? We don’t even think they know. A team that was for a long time the stalwart of consistency looks confused at times and just disinterested at others. They may have won 2 games last week but consider me not impressed. The Caliphs will roll and Louis and Gregg may put up some resistance but in the end you aren’t taking down ZQ and Fahad with the way the Warriors have been performing lately. Fargo get your franchise in order!

10:30 Mean Machine vs MPS
My how the mighty have fallen. The squids with one loss, dropped in the power rankings like they kicked the writer’s dog. They will be looking for revenge here and to make a statement that the precipitous fall was unwarranted. However will they be pushing too hard in an effort to prove themselves that they end up not playing with the steadiness they are accustomed to. We think this is the game Asif pulls Mean Machine off the mats tells the kids like Zamer and Munir to play some hard-nosed football and win a dang game. The drop continues on one end and the rise is starting on the other. Mean Machine gets it done for the first time this season.

I feel like I say this every week but is there a team having more fun than Pluto. They are having the same kind of qb shuffling the Warriors are but are taking it in stride. Everywhere you look there are smiles on the field. It helps when you have the powerful offense they do but this week it will need to be their defense stepping up. Elites are just a flat out mess. Anas, the reigning MVP of the league is looking lost out there. Ill advised throws, late up the middle, forcing into windows. You name the silly pass it is likely he has thrown it this season. The football savvy and IQ of Pulak and Owais can only extend so far. I don’t know that there is a bigger disparity of talent and results in the league. I don’t think I can pick Elites to win a game again until I see them get one first.
