The Niners are 2-0 and Elites are 0-2. It’s a little early but could it already be a must win for the rebranded Imaan squad. The Niners won last time out but it was an ugly game for Moddy at qb, he had trouble making throws and often times was bailed out by guys like Umair and Mozel. Anas needs to pretend last game didn’t happen and bounce back. He gave this same Niners defense fits last season and should look to do that same thing. Look for him to establish a rhythm early with guys like Owais and Isa. We actually think he steps up as refining MVP and outduels Moody to get his season back on track.

9:30 Warriors vs Marine Park Squids
Which Warriors team is gonna show up will be a huge factor in who wins this game. If Ezra starts from the jump and feeds his OG weapons in Gregg and Louis they should work their way up the field and then it’s up to the defense. Theo Squids have found their qb in Josh and they run a disciplined operation. They pride themself on defense led by Evin and Arjun on the backline. They are very safe on offense which means they usually can’t afford to go down early. If the Warriors strike early it may be hard to overcome but we’ll take the steadiness of the Squids over the volatility of the Warriors.

10 Interceptors vs Pluto
Pluto had a great time in week 2 going 2-0. They are a fun team. All the guys seem like they are having a great time and enjoying themselves. That’s fun to see. They even have a second qb for when Shak isn’t up to it. Especially when they are throwing to Toheed who is still one of the top weapons in the league on both sides. Interceptors have the Niners all they could handle and looked solid defensively. The real question here is with Rick not here can Brian take over and lead the offense. If he uses his weapons efficiently with guys like Jordan and Fahad they should put up points but we think Pluto comes out in this one in a high scoring affair.

10:30 Marine Park Squids vs Mean Machine
He’s backkkkkk!!!!!!! Asif returns from his brief exile to lead a talented receiver room for the mean machine. The youngsters Neiko, Munir, and Zamer. They also get their leading rescuer back now that he doesn’t have to play qb. What they lacked the first couple of games was organization. Will Asif be able to get them coordinated and do some damage? MPS will be tired here but they have some depth so we think they may be up for this challenge. Whenever a team goes through a big change like Mean Machine is though you usually play the first game with some extra juice. We think that’s the case here and they get their first win of the season.

11 Mamas Boys vs Interceptors
This is a tough game to predict because we are hearing whispers that a certain someone might be returning to lead the Mamas Boys. If that’s true the league better be ready. But for now we will imagine Safwan is playing qb and for as good as he looked game 1 game 2 was awful. Very hesitant and indecisive leading to way too many turnovers. Omar has to take control and come with a solid game plan that limits that here. Interceptors can bring 10 guys Saturday and try to keep them all fresh but the second game of a back to back is always tough. They are also usually slow and ugly which we think this one we’ll be. In the end we will take the experience of Adam’s guys to get the W here.

Which Caliphs team are we going to see. Week 1 where they started with a bang but ended with a whimper or the one from week 2 where they looked like the squad to beat even without perennial MVP candidate Samad. The answer is probably somewhere in the middle. Meanwhile Naj has brought on the true veteran Shu and he has provided some stability at the qb position for the Hunters. Him and ZQ will be a fun battle to watch. In the end the roster surrounding ZQs is better so we will pick them but if there was going to be an upset this may be one to watch.
