🏈 Crescent Football League — Week 4 Power Rankings
The standings tell part of the story. These rankings are about who is playing the best football right now, who looks dangerous, and who has the pieces to make a run.
1. 🥇 Marine Park Squids (MPS) — 3-0
Last Week: #2 | Stock: ⬆️
The MPS are the team to beat right now. At 3-0, they look like the most prepared team every week. Josh is emerging as one of the CFL's high-IQ quarterbacks, while Evin and Tyler are legitimate threats on both sides of the ball. They don't just show up—they seem to have a game plan.
CFL Expert Take: They've got the receipts. Until somebody knocks them off, MPS is sitting at the top.
2. 🥈 Niners — 3-0
Last Week: #1 | Stock: ⬇️
Still undefeated and still very much a championship contender. Moody has been solid at QB and the numbers speak for themselves: 3-0 with a +68 point differential. That's not a fluke. The only reason they're not #1 this week is that MPS looks a little more complete right now.
CFL Expert Take: Don't confuse #2 with struggling. The Niners are still rolling.
3. 🥉 Caliphs — 2-1
Last Week: #3 | Stock: ➡️
Fahad is bringing the smoke. Five touchdowns against the Hunters last week and he now leads the league in receiving TDs. That's a problem for everybody. Then there's Captain/QB ZQ, who has become the CFL's version of "we've got 15 seconds left, don't worry." His ability to engineer late drives is becoming a trademark.
CFL Expert Take: If the game is close late, don't bet against ZQ.
4. Mamas Boys — 2-1
Last Week: #5 | Stock: ⬆️
No Mustafa? No problem. Mamas Boys have already knocked off both the Interceptors and Caliphs, proving they're not just padding the record. Captain Omar has the defense ready to play, and this team has quietly become one of the tougher outs in the league.
CFL Expert Take: They're not flashy. They're just winning games.
5. Pluto — 2-2
Last Week: #6 | Stock: ⬆️
This might be the most annoying team in the league to play against—in a good way. Shak, Toheed, Ismael and Omer, the best big receiver in the league, give Captain Fahad plenty of weapons. Pluto brings it every week, whether they win or lose. At 2-2, they're firmly in the mix.
CFL Expert Take: They're competitive every week—and somebody is going to pay for the losses eventually.
6. Interceptors — 2-2
Last Week: #4 | Stock: ⬇️
The Interceptors are still sitting at .500, but the recent roster shuffle gets them bumped down a couple spots. Adam dropped Big Man Taylor and brought in Jordan, and the kid's speed is legit. Jordan gives this team a different gear and could become a serious matchup problem.
CFL Expert Take: The new guy has wheels. Now let's see if the rest of the team can keep up.
7. Hunters — 1-2
Last Week: #8 | Stock: ⬆️
Don't let the record fool you. With Shu under center, the Hunters look like a legit franchise in the making. Naj has done a superb job building the team, and this is a squad that could look very different a few weeks from now.
CFL Expert Take: 1-2 today. Potential problem tomorrow.
8. Warriors — 1-2
Last Week: #7 | Stock: ⬇️
The Warriors need answers. Ezra needs to be a full-time QB.At 1-2, the team has not gotten enough production from the new additions, including Rob and Shen. The talent is there, but the results aren't. This is the point where "potential" needs to turn into wins. Even the LEG is slowed down.
CFL Expert Take: Less experimenting. More Ezra. Figure it out.
9. Mean Machine — 0-3
Last Week: #9 | Stock: ➡️
The record is ugly, but this team isn't hopeless. The signing of Asif should finally stabilize the QB position, and the defense is formidable. At 0-3, there are officially no more excuses—but there's also still plenty of time to turn things around.
Rahat has the pieces. Now he needs to put them together.
CFL Expert Take: 0-3 isn't a death sentence. But 0-4 starts looking like one.
10. Elites — 0-3
Last Week: #10 | Stock: ➡️
The Elites are in last place because, quite simply, the talent isn't translating into production. It's easy to point the finger at Anas and the QB play, but the defense deserves just as much blame. Giving up 135 points through three games isn't going to win many football games.
CFL Expert Take: The talent is there. The performance isn't.

🏆 Week 4 Bottom Line
MPS has earned the #1 spot, but this league is wide open. The Niners are undefeated, Caliphs have the league's hottest playmaker, Mamas Boys are beating quality teams, and Pluto is capable of ruining anybody's week. Meanwhile, the bottom four still have time to change the story.
Power Rankings aren't the standings. They're the "who do you NOT want to see this week?" rankings.
